A note from Lucky,

Welcome to my website .....Customers have asked me how I  began building perch rods.  It all started when I went to the large can department stores and tried to find a kids fishing rod that were not a "Plastic Spiderman" type of commercial rod.  What I found was very disappointing and inferior.  The reels were made of plastic and the rods were worst.  Since I have worked with wood most of my life building furniture, etc., it was an obvious choice.  I made my kids their own personal wooden handled kids rods........I was very proud of "my kids" rods and showed them to several people.  They liked them and wanted it for their kids......and so the Lucky Lacy's Perch Rod with the Original "Lucky Penny" Wood Handle was born..........the business for perch rods is doing very well, but the clients/friends started requesting a medium weight custom rod..........

The business expanded.....

After making and personally testing many rods, I came up with the " Lucky Lacy (3) Piece" LL3P  Model.  The LL3P allows me to make a custom rod that is high in quality, very sensitive, easy to cast, and yet very affordable.......and so Lucky Lacy's Custom Rods with the Original "Lucky Penny" Wood Handle was born........

NEWS!!!!
In late 2013/2014, I listened to my customers and I found a (2) piece perch rod that is more sensitive and is less than 3" long taken apart.  This perch rod can be stored in a trunk, or stored behind the seat!!  I also have a smoother handle design that fits your hand like a glove!    You are welcome!

The fishing rods that my family and I build are custom hand made rods made in the U.S.A.  My family and I lathe the wood, sight the guides, wrap the custom thread work, and assemble all the parts in a small workshop. The rods are the finest, yet very affordable......

Please look at all I have to offer or if you would like something that you do not see, please call me....

..and as always may your "Lucky Penny" bring you luck!
